POLYAD FO

DESCRIPTION
It is an anionic adhesion activator based on phosphate esters; It is the best adhesion activator for bituminous conglomerates.
It is not expensive and has the advantage of being effective with all types of aggregates regardless of their mineralogical nature (basic and / or acids); moreover, it has a very high thermal stability.

The POLYAD FO additive consists of a substance with long molecules, characterized by a head group and a tail group; the “positive” and “negative” head groups bind themselves solidly to both “negative” and “positive” sites of the aggregate, while the hydrophobic “tail” groups are anchored in the bitumen.

APPLICATION
POLYAD FO can be used on any bituminous conglomerate; The addition of POLYAD FO has the effect of reducing the bitumen / aggregate contact angle. A smaller contact angle favors the adhesion of the bitumen to the surface of the aggregate, facilitates the wettability of the fine parts and above all facilitates the bitumen to enter the microscopic pores present on the surface
of the aggregate.

POLYAD FO also helps to prevent the “stripping” of the bitumen from the surface of the stone aggregate. The long molecules of the substances forming POLYAD FO, have a particular chemical structure characterized by a head group and a tail group. Additions to the bitumen quickly migrate to the bitumen / aggregate interface.

DIRECTIONS OF USE
POLYCYKLE FB50 is added directly into the mixer of the production plant during the production phase of the conglomerate, using an automatic doser or manually dosing it.

DOSAGE
The dosage percentages depend on the nature of the aggregates and the type of bitumen, 160/5000. The standard dosage can vary from 0.1% to 0.3% on the weight of the bitumen, for every 1,000 kg of bituminous binder, 1 to 3 kg of POLYAD FO are required.

STORAGE
POLYCYKLE FB50 can be stored for 24 months in original and closed packaging, at a temperature between 5 °C and 30 °C. Depending on the storage temperature, the product may vary viscosity, however its characteristics are not compromised.

SAFETY
