POLYAD FS

DESCRIPTION
It is a universal adhesion activator for bituminous conglomerates, extremely effective on both acidic and basic stones, its particular mixed composition based on phosphoglycerides and esters, makes it particularly effective on any type of aggregate and bitumen, prevents the stripping of aggregates constituting the conglomerate and extends its life.

APPLICATION
POLYAD FS can be used on any bituminous conglomerate; the addition of POLYAD FS has the effect of reducing the bitumen / aggregate contact angle. A smaller contact angle favors the adhesion of the bitumen to the surface of the aggregate, facilitates the wettability of the fine parts and above all facilitates the bitumen to enter the microscopic pores present on the surface of the aggregate. POLYAD FS also helps to prevent the “stripping” of the bitumen from the surface of the stone aggregate. The long molecules of the substances that form POLYAD FS have a particular chemical structure which, when added to the bitumen, quickly migrate to the
bitumen / aggregate interface.

DIRECTIONS OF USE
POLYAD FS is added directly to the mixer of the production plant during the production phase of the conglomerate, using an automatic dispenser. Alternatively, the bitumen can be added directly to the storage tank when it is refilled.

DOSAGE
The dosage percentages depend on the nature of the aggregates and the type of bitumen used. The standard dosage can vary from 0.1% to 0.3% on the weight of the bitumen, i.e. for every 1,000 kg of bituminous binder, from 1 to 3 kg of POLYAD FS are required.

STORAGE
POLYAD FS can be stored for 24 months in its original closed packaging, at a temperature between 5 ° C and 30 ° C. Depending on the storage temperature, the product can vary viscosity, however its characteristics are not compromised.
